You'll be part of the IT Operations & Managed Services team at Tech Sequence, reporting to the Head of IT Operations & Managed Services.

The Senior SOC Analyst builds and runs Tech Sequence’s Security Operations Centre — the function that monitors, detects, and responds to security threats across client and internal environments. As the practice develops, this role establishes the detection, triage, and incident-response capability that keeps estates secure around the clock. Reporting to the Head of IT Operations & Managed Services and leading the SOC Analysts, the Senior SOC Analyst owns security monitoring, detection engineering, incident response, and threat management. This is a G4 hands-on leadership role measured on detection efficacy, response speed, and reduction of security risk.

Own SIEM/EDR monitoring and detection coverage across endpoints, network, cloud, and identity, and continuously improve detection rules. Triage alerts, separate signal from noise, and prioritize by risk and impact. Lead security incident response — containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review — following defined playbooks. Manage threat intelligence and hunting to proactively surface risks before they are exploited. Own vulnerability management — scanning, prioritization, and coordinated remediation with operations teams. Track and report on security posture, compliance gaps, and risk reduction over time. Build and maintain detection content, response playbooks, and SOAR automation to speed and standardize response. Administer and tune security tooling and integrations with ITSM. Develop SOC Analysts with clear standards, training, and shift readiness as the practice scales. Foster a disciplined, evidence-based security culture. Own SIEM/EDR monitoring and detection coverage across endpoints, network, cloud, and identity, and continuously improve detection rules. Lead security incident response — containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review — following defined playbooks. Own vulnerability management — scanning, prioritization, and coordinated remediation with operations teams. Develop SOC Analysts with clear standards, training, and shift readiness as the practice scales.

Hands-on expertise with SIEM/EDR/XDR (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel/Defender, Splunk) and detection engineering. Solid understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, incident response, and vulnerability management. Scripting/automation (e.g., Python, KQL) and SOAR tooling.

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 6+ years in security operations with experience leading response or a small analyst team. Hands-on detection-and-response experience across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity. Strong analytical and English communication skills.
